Well now.

Another exciting day of my life. Ran into some dissapointing news when trying to upgrade my XBox: seems that the existing RAM cannot be removed, and additional RAM needs to be burned into place. So, no Super-powerful seXBox for me. Yet. I also need another screwdriver type, as flatheads/phillips screwdrivers aren't the right type.

In musical news, I highly suggest you go listen to the song Brinstar (Dreams in Red) on the metroidonline.com site's 'metroid music online' page. It's unbelievably awesome. It gradually builds up, so listen to the whole thing instead of the first 5 seconds, ok?

While you're at it, read the following advertisement and get a clue: "WINAMP: kid tested, llama approved." & "WINAMP: It really kicks the llama's ass."

Confused? Don't be. Go to 'http://www.winamp.com' If you have an iPod like me, search their site for the iPod integration program. It actually works faster than iTunes, so dont even install iTunes, or if you already have, UNINSTALL it and put winamp up instead.

WARNING: Winamp takes some getting used to if you normally use Windows Media Player, but all in all, it's so much better.

Next: download quicktime. NOT so you can use it to watch 'http://www.warthog-jump.com' but so that you can use its codecs to convert .mov and other quicktime formats into .avi or .mp4s so you can watch them on WINAMP!!! As for converting, use 'http://www.free-codecs.com/download/RAD_Video_Tools.htm' to do that. Relatively simple and painless. The tools should also be able to convert audio files from one format to another, but I havent tested this. If it doesn't, I'll find the converter myself: And you can bet your ass it'll be free.

The end result of listening to my directions: a central multimedia hub in winamp, complete with the ability to watch ANY video you download/convert, but also to connect with your iPod and/or other mp3 player. And instead of using Windows Media Player, iTunes and Quicktime, You just use Winamp. Nifty? thought so.

Adios.
